学会発表だけでなく、論文執筆や申請書作成にも役立ちます！
URA研究戦略推進室では、本学研究者の科学プレゼンテーション能力の向上を目的として、「遺伝研メソッド*1」による科学プレゼンテーション講座（講習会およびワークショップ）を開催します。本講座は【2日間の講習会】と【半日のワークショップ】から成ります。
講習会とワークショップの両方に参加することをお勧めしますが、どちらか一方、あるいは一部のみの参加も可能です。参加希望者は本ページ下のリンクからお申込みください。

2. ワークショップ「プレゼンテーションマスタークラス」（半日）
「マスタークラス」は音楽の世界でシニアの音楽家が若い人向けに行う公開レッスンのことですが、ここでは数人の研究発表（10分間）に対して講師や他の参加者で助言を行うセッションのことです。成果発表の効果を上げるための方法を議論することによって、参加者全員が自身の発表にも役立てるヒントを得ることを目指します。
※発表者を4名募集します（3月10日（火）締切）。
近々学会発表を予定している方は、よりよい発表にするためにこの機会をご利用ください！
この企画にはさまざまな分野の参加者が予想されますが、市民講座的なプレゼンではなく、あくまでも「研究者向けの研究発表」を期待しています。想定聴衆としては「自分が所属する学会全体」、あるいは「将来応募するかもしれない学部全体」、程度の範囲を設定するのが良いと思います。
マスタークラスのみの参加・聴講も可能ですが、発表希望者はなるべく上記講習会も受講してください。
発表希望者多数の場合は事前に選考を行う可能性があります。

Want to hone your skills in scientific presentations?
The course will help not only to improve your presentations, but also to make your draft papers and applications better!
The Research Administration/Management (URA) Office will hold a training course (lectures and a workshop) for scientific presentation using the “NIG Method*1” with the aim of improving the presentation skills of researchers in the university. The course consists of two full day of lectures and a half-day workshop. We recommend attending both the lectures and the workshop if possible, but participation on individual days or even just selected lecture sessions is also welcome. *1 What is the “NIG method”? An original education program for improving scientific presentations developed by the National Institute of Genetics (NIG). Features: ・ A program to develop skills in both English and scientific thinking required for international scientists. ・ Designed from a perspective of scientists, rather than English educators. ・ Based on the real experience of scientists (e.g. common mistakes) ・ Contents that students, postdocs, and professors (regardless of native language) can learn together and from each other at the same time |

2. Workshop “Presentation Master Class” (half day)
A “Master Class” usually refers to a class in which a senior musician provides comments and advice on students’ performance. In “Presentation Master Class”, several presenters will each make a 10 minute presentation on their own research. We will then discuss how the presentation could be made more effective. By sharing this experience all participants of the class can benefit from the comments made.
Three to four participants will give presentations introducing their research, and all participants, including the lecturers, will discuss good points of the presentation technique, as well as how the presentation could be improved further.
We welcome volunteers (about 4 people) to make a presentation in the workshop (application deadline: March 10). If you plan to attend a conference in the near future, please take this opportunity to make your presentation better.
Although audience of this workshop will likely include researchers of diverse disciplines, you need not prepare a general talk for lay people; we expect you to give a talk for your research community, e.g. the academic society you belong to, or the department that you might apply for a job in future.
Presenters are recommended to attend the above mentioned Lectures on March 5-6. Auditing Masterclass alone is permitted.
If many people show interest, we may need to do pre-selection of presenters.
