ハーバード・イェンチン研究所（Harvard-Yenching Institute: HYI）は、ハーバード大学内にある、アジアの人文・社会科学研究を支援するための独立した教育研究機関です。
HYIでは、人文・社会科学系の教員を対象に、ハーバード大学およびその他の適切な大学で11ヶ月間（2027年8月1日から2028年6月30日まで）の研究・調査の機会および奨学金を付与する客員研究員プログラムを実施しています。

 

このたび、HYIによる、本プログラムの本年度の公募に関するオンライン説明会が開催されますので、ご案内いたします。

【応募対象とする研究分野】
人類学、考古学、地域・国際研究、芸術・建築史、歴史（経済史、法律史を含む）、言語学、文学、メディアと映画の研究、哲学、政治学、宗教学、社会学、女性学・ジェンダー・セクシュアリティ研究
※経済学、教育、地理学、法学、心理学、行政学の分野の研究者も応募可能ですが、応募前に事前確認が必要です。

Information session for the Harvard-Yenching Institute Visiting Scholars Program

The Harvard-Yenching Institute (HYI), located in the Harvard University campus, is an independent academic institution dedicated to supporting research in the humanities and social sciences relating to Asia.

HYI administers the Visiting Scholars Program, which offers faculty members in the humanities and social sciences the opportunity to undertake 11 months of study and research (from August 1, 2027 to June 30, 2028) at Harvard University and/or other appropriate universities, along with financial support.

 

We are pleased to inform you that HYI will hold an online information session on this year’s call for applications for the program.

<Eligible Fields of Study>
Anthropology, Archaeology, Area and International Studies, Art and Architectural History, History (including economic and legal history), Linguistics, Literature, Media and Film Studies, Philosophy, Politics, Sociology, Study of Religion, and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies
* Applicants in the fields of Economics, Education, Geography, Law, Psychology, and Public Administration are also eligible; however, prior confirmation is required before applying.
