  • I would like to check the citations of my paper. How can I do that?

    If you want to know about research performance such as number of journal outputs and citations, etc. of your center or research group, etc., SciVal, which is a research analysis tool based on Elsevier's Scopus database, is available for people who belong to the University of Tsukuba.

  • Can the URA provide support for individual competitive research fund applications?

    First of all, please consult with the URA of your department. If there is no one available in your department, or if researchers from multiple departments are applying as a group, please consult with the Headquarters URA. The Headquarters URA will provide support for research grants with a total amount of 20 million yen or more.

    In addition, the URA conducts annual application support for Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research and JST Strategic Innovation Promotion Projects (CREST, PRESTO, ACT-X, etc.).

  • Where can I find information on research funding?

    The research funding information site "RISS" is useful for finding research grants. Anyone in the university is welcome to use the site, and there is also a notification function that sends you an email when registered specific research grants become open calls for proposals then post in the "RISS."

  • I heard that there is an explanatory manga for RISS.

    There is a recommended manga drawn by the External Funding Division, Research Promotion Department. It is available only in Japanese.

    The University of Tsukuba Gateway is a system that allows Japanese papers to be submitted to the F1000Research publishing model that combines the benefits of pre-printing (providing rapid publication with no editorial bias) with mechanisms to assure quality and transparency (invited and open peer review, archiving and indexing).
