“University ‘knowledge’-based Program” to Fight against the COVID-19 Crisis: Interviews on Research results released!! (Avalable in Japanese only)

In May 2020,  “University ‘knowledge’-based Program to Fight against the COVID-19 Crisis” started with 27 research projects to confront COVID-19 in the areas of medicine, health, mental health, daily life, education, and culture. Some of the research projects have already been utilized in our daily lives, including national and local government policies, school education systems, educational programs, and health maintenance measures.

In order to deliver the results of diverse research to as many people in society as possible, we have produced and published an article based on interviews with researchers.
In these interviews, you can find not only the background and methods of the research, but also the words of the researchers as individuals, such as the sense of crisis they felt as experts about COVID-19, their desire to be helpful in the midst of social turmoil, what they gained from their research, and what they would like to do in the future.

The University of Tsukuba Research Administration/Management Office is in charge of designing the internal grant system for the “University ‘knowledge’-based Program to Fight against the COVID-19 Crisis”, conducting applications, and overall management and publicity of the program.
