On February 13, 2013, a “URA Research Strategy Seminar” was held as a part of training for URA members. This time we invited Dr. Hiroshi MIZUBAYASHI, project officer, Department of Promoting Science and Technology System Reform, of the Japan Science and Technology (JST) Agency as a lecturer. He gave us a very informative lecture on how we can enhance our research systems, and showed us directions to the future research support environment followed by a very active Q&A session.

On January 9, 2013, we held the 2nd Tsukuba URA Forum ( Program(PDF)).
Nearly 40 people participated and had an active Q&A session. We received many positive comments such as, “the forum enabled me to have a better understanding of the U Tsukuba URAs”.

Tsukuba URAs visited the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology university research administration center. We discussed and exchanged information about ongoing URA services and future plans. We are grateful for their kind hospitality.
